Do You Zentangle?

Do you Zentangle?  I just started doing this, and it's a lot of fun.  It's somewhere between doodling and drawing quilting designs.  A great way to practice quilting designs before you stitch them on fabric.

Here's one I drew:

There are lots of sites and pictures on the web about this technique...try it out and let me know what you think!

  2. Hi Mary,
I've just popped over from Lorri's blog page. No, I don't Zentangle, but I agree with you it is in many ways like free motion quilting. I do spend hours with pen and paper just doodling new quilting patterns, it if I filled in designated areas it would be the same thing.
You have some great quilting on your many quilts. Do you have a long-arm or do you manage that all on a domestic sewing machine?

    1. Zentangle is addictive isn't it!

I have a Grace frame with a stretched Juki machine -- I think it's considered a mid-arm. I really love working on a frame, and luckily I have a studio to put it in.
