Yvonne’s Hawaiian Wedding Dress Quilt

Yvonne wanted to have a quilt made right away from her wedding dress.  When she got married in hawaii, she sent me her dress. She asked that I incorporate the lace and beading from the yoke of her dress bodice, and wanted plumeria flowers incorporated into the quilting design.

Yvonne
I used the satin underskirt of her dress for the quilt, with the beading and lace laid out in the center of the quilt.  Names and wedding date were embroidered in the center.  Plumerias were quilted in the center and inner border, and a pretty feather pattern was used for the rest of the quilt.

Emily's Wedding Dress Quilt

Emily's wedding dress was made of beautiful champagne colored satin, with a chiffon overlay and lace trim.  I made the quilt from the satin, with a heart made from the lace embellishments.

Emily
A feather design was quilted around the outer border and the heart in the center, with a flower and leaf design quilted in the corners of the center panel, and the inner border.

Pam's Wedding Dress Quilt

Pam's beautiful wedding dress had a gorgeous train with blue satin trim, and lots of beading and lace.  She wanted a quilt made from the train, and wanted to incorporate the small sleeves somehow.

Pam
For this quilt, I quilted around the embellishments in the center of the train.  In the open areas on the sides, I quilted a large flower design.  Her sleeves were made into a bow at the top of the quilt, with some of the corset lacing as a tie.

Jamie's Mom's Wedding Dress Quilt

Jamie wanted a quilt made from her mom's dress, it was to be a surprise for her. The dress was very delicate lace and chiffon, and was not in good shape, but I was able to use the neckline lace and beading in the inner border of the quilt

The train from the dress was in good shape, satin, with lots of very delicate lace and bows on the back. The satin from the train was made into the top of the quilt. I put the lace in the center of the quilt, and around the outer border.    Jamie's mother loved daisies, so I used a daisy pattern in the center of the quilt, and the rest of the quilt was quilted in a feather pattern.
