Quilt and pillow for Rose

Rose’s wedding dress had a beautiful lace train that she wanted to incorporate into a quilt. The center of her quilt is solid lace from the train, quilted in the lace design.  The inner border is quilted satin, with the pretty bows from her sleeves placed in the corners. The outer border is satin, with the lace from the bottom of her skirt around the border.

She also wanted to have an embellished lace pillow. The beautiful lace with sequins and pearls made a beautiful pillow. The front of the pillow incorporated their favorite wedding picture printed on fabric, and another pretty bow, and the back just showed off the beautiful lace with sequins and pearls.

Catie’s Three Layered Wedding Dress Quilt

Catie's beautiful wedding dress had three layers. The bottom layer was a pretty satin, the middle layer was a fine mesh covered in sequins, and the top layer was tulle with beaded/sequined lace embellishments.

The center was satin, embroidered with the bride and groom's names and wedding date inside of a diamond shape made from lace motifs from the skirt of the dress.  The rest of the center was quilted in two feather patterns, the inner swirl pattern mimics the outer border pattern.

The inner border was satin, covered in the sequined mesh, with lace sewn on in the corners and spaced around the border.  The outer border is satin, quilted in a feather swirl design.

Pillow and Quilt for Pam

Pam had a beautiful satin wedding dress with lots of lace, sequins and pearls.  She wanted a pillow and quilt that used a lot of the embellishments.

The bottom of the bodice was used in the center of her quilt, with lace motifs around the center panel, and a fancy feather quilting design. The lace from the bottom of the dress skirt was put around the inner border. The outer border was satin, with a feather pattern. Calla lilies were used in Pam’s wedding, so they were quilted into the border also.

The bodice was made into a pillow, the bodice front as the front of the pillow and the bodice back as the back of the pillow.

Antonia's Wedding Dress Baby Quilt

Antonia wanted to make a baby quilt from her wedding dress. The dress had some really pretty embellished embroidery going down the skirt and on the bodice.  She wanted to use as much as posible, so I placed the larger pieces on each side of the center, with a smaller piece above.  We agreed on a swirl design for the center quilting.  The inner border was straight lines 1/4" apart, and the outer border was quilted in a feather design.

The heart on the back of the quilt is made from her mother's dress. She is expecting a baby, so the label will be filled in after the baby is born, and placed near the heart.
